Overall, Gorbachev's reforms and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union led to widespread dissatisfaction and animosity towards him. **

Mikhail Gorbachev is often seen as the gravedigger of the Soviet Union because of his policies of glasnost (openness) and perestroika (restructuring), which aimed to reform the Soviet system but ultimately led to its collapse. Gorbachev's efforts to modernize and liberalize the Soviet Union inadvertently weakened the centralized control of the Communist Party and allowed for greater political and social freedoms, which ultimately contributed to the unraveling of the Soviet state. Additionally, Gorbachev's inability to effectively manage the economic and political challenges facing the Soviet Union further hastened its demise. Therefore, Gorbachev's reforms inadvertently accelerated the collapse of the Soviet Union, earning him the reputation as its gravedigger. **

Yes, the development of innovative car technology was hindered in East Germany due to the country's centralized and state-controlled economy. The government's focus on producing standardized vehicles for the masses limited the ability of car manufacturers to invest in research and development for innovative technology. Additionally, the lack of competition and access to international markets further restricted the advancement of car technology in East Germany. It was only after the reunification of Germany in 1990 that the automotive industry in the former East Germany began to modernize and catch up with Western standards. **

The angle at the cutting edge is the angle formed between the cutting edge of a tool and the workpiece being cut. This angle is crucial in determining the efficiency and effectiveness of the cutting process. A smaller angle at the cutting edge results in a sharper tool, allowing for more precise cuts, while a larger angle may provide more strength and durability to the cutting edge. The optimal angle at the cutting edge depends on the material being cut and the specific cutting operation being performed. **
